Again, we have some form of possible reconstruction, but it is the clearest picture on the consoles. It is ambitious, but in practice it comes close it reaches its maximum value at 3584×2016, with the lower limit being 1440p. The Xbox One X version reaches almost 4K.
Not only that, but the reconstruction also causes an image breakdown when moving, which is not as apparent on the improved devices. Most often it is used on the Xbox One, of course, where the maximum target resolution is 1600×900, but it is dynamic and can drop to 1216×684 on the busiest roads.

So how do the different consoles behave? As with the PC version, there is a temporal upscaling option that works to different degrees on each console. It’s certainly a short version of London – a version condensed to the climax – but honestly, it’s worth exploring every single corner. All of this is supported by the central open-world features of Watch Dogs: the day-night cycles, the weather situation, the destruction of cars and objects. Ubisoft Toronto has done an excellent job connecting the city’s landmarks with the emergence of new and credible technology: drones, road surveillance, automatic cars and buses. From the towering presence of the Parliament building to the glazed windows of a local pub – the micro and macro details are wonderfully handled and easily starred in the show. There’s a drive for more complex architecture and materials that turn it into a virtual playground that feels unusually familiar for an open world game. Legion creates the most exciting setting in the series to date – a great city packed with dark, utopian details. Every Watch Dogs title to date, right up to the 2014 original, has evolved with more complex cities, expanding its ideas to show futuristic versions of Chicago, San Francisco, and now London. To what extent is the PlayStation 4 doing better and can the improved consoles solve the problems?
